From indie cults to global blockbusters, camera crews have been on site with slider rails, mics and roadblocks since memory serves. With its' victorian warehouses, old factories and varied housing stock, the area is a perfect urban backdrop for gritty films such as 1984, The Elephant Man, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels  and erm, Bridget Jones' Diary.
